The Best Marketing Masters Programs, Ranked and Priced
Marketing masters programs cluster heavily in France, which dominates this list more than students typically expect going in.

Why France dominates this particular ranking
French grande école business schools, HEC Paris, ESSEC, ESCP, EMLyon, and EDHEC among them, have built specific institutional reputations around marketing and luxury-brand management, partly reflecting France's own position as a global hub for the luxury and consumer goods industry. That concentration is a genuine specialisation, not a ranking quirk, which is why five of the global top ten sit inside one country.
The top ten, by QS 2025 ranking
HEC Paris ranks first with its MSc in Marketing at €34,500. ESSEC follows with its Marketing Management and Digital program at €32,600 to SGD 47,000 depending on campus. IE Business School in Spain charges €37,000 for its Master in Strategic Marketing and Communications. ESCP's MSc in Marketing and Creativity runs €26,300, and Columbia Business School in the US, the only non-European program in the top five, charges $77,156 for its MS in Marketing Science.
Imperial College Business School (€42,500), Warwick Business School (€36,270), EMLyon (€28,750–€38,500), ESADE (€36,400), and EDHEC (€27,300) round out the top ten. Five of the ten are French, underlining how concentrated marketing education is in that country specifically.
What the investment actually returns
Average international marketing salaries run $90,000–$120,000 a year, with HEC Paris graduates starting as high as €50,000. Choosing between these programs comes down less to the ranking gap, which is narrow across the top ten, and more to which country's marketing job market you actually want to enter after graduating.
A student targeting a career in luxury goods, fashion, or consumer brands is genuinely better served by a French or European program with strong local industry connections than by a similarly-ranked US program, since so much of marketing hiring in those sectors happens through campus recruiting relationships that don't transfer well across borders. Rank alone understates how much geography matters for this specific field.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a French marketing masters worth it if I want to work outside Europe?
It depends on your target sector. French grande école programs carry particular weight for luxury, fashion, and consumer-brand hiring in Europe, but Columbia's MS in Marketing Science is the stronger pick if your goal is the US job market specifically, since campus recruiting relationships don't transfer well across borders.
Does the ranking gap between the top ten marketing programs actually matter?
Less than the country and industry fit does. The ranking gap is narrow across the top ten; which country's marketing job market you want to enter after graduating matters more than a few ranking positions.
